JLPT N5 日本語能力試験

Well, this was my first official exam since after started my working life 2 and half year ago. Talking about exam, I still can remember vividly how torturing it was during my uni exams and assignments. I easily went nuts over the super thick textbook and notes with all the bloody theories, applications, justifications, examples....etc! D.I.S.A.S.T.E.R. In spite of excessive exams and assignments, one thing cannot be denied is, student life is the best though, ever and forever!

I recall that 10 years ago, when I was 15-year-old, Japanese pop fever (J-pop) had hit Malaysia. My mum, my brother and I deeply fell in love with J-pop. 10 years ago, we used to stay in front of TV before dot com boom burst. The first Japanese drama which broadcasted on TV2 was 'Beautiful Life'《美丽人生》, starring by Kimura Takuya (木村拓哉). As of now, Kimura Takuya is still our top 1 favourite Japanese actor.

I have great intention to learn Japanese language all the while but due to heavy study load during my uni life, my plan is always been procrastinating. Until I started working with Panasonic, it was so cool that Japanese Language Corporate Training is provided to employees......for free!

Frankly speaking, learning Japanese isn't hard. We (Chinese) have the advantage as there are similarity between Japanese kanji and Chinese character. I truly enjoy learning Japanese language because my teacher (from Japan) is just too cute! The way my Japanese teacher conducts the class is really interesting and fun. This is the reason which makes me stay motivated to attend the class despite being very tired after working hour.

We have drawing class during Japanese class too! Cute? Spot the naughty Shin chan!

The is the way my Japanese teacher marks the test paper. So unique, isn't it?

After 2 years of Japanese learning, it is the time to get examined to find out the proficiency level of my Japanese Language. Thus, I applied for Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 5 (JLPT N5, basic level) which costs me RM80.00. For more information about JLPT, please visit The Japanese Language Society of Malaysia.

The feeling towards this exam is totally different from previous. This time, I feel more relax and enjoyable throughout the revision process. Perhaps, with the help of my passion in learning Japanese language, my revision was just going on incredible smooth and fast.

Such a beautiful view from 10th floor of Confusion Private Secondary school. This photo was taken during the interval break for 2nd test section.

The result was released on 29-Aug-2013. I feel grateful that I've passed the exam. From the score report, I can see my listening section is rather poor. I need to put more effort in order to brush up my listening skill.

I promise to myself that I will study harder and get better result for next level of JLPT. *fingers crossed*
