..."kuang kuang kuang"...
First day went for training. Really feel like being cheated and I was just like a crazy woman walking to and fro in the same area under such stuffy weather!!! *faint*
I arrived at the company (Visfinity Advertising Enterprise) at 9am sharp. When I just started to take first step up to the stair, I heard loud music and people shouting from upstairs. *Curious* I went up to the office and there was a receptionist. She asked me to have a seat while waiting for others. Of course, the noise still there. People were shouting and music turned on loudly!!! Loud and booming!!! The noise was similar to what we can hear from clubbing places. Besides, I can also smell cigarette odor. OMG, what kind of company is this??
15 minutes later, another 2 girls came in. I began the conversation with them. We seem like knowing each other for quite some time ago, keep talking like nobody's business. 3 of us felt extremely scary and curious about what was actually going on in that room?! Lots of question marks arose in our mind. Finally....we saw a bunch of girls and guys went out from the room. The manager introduced the trainers to us. Each of us followed different trainer. My trainer is a girl, named Hazey. After intro ourself to each other, journey to Kepong is started.
Hazey is a talkative, humorous, caring, helpful.....person. I asked her what was happening in that room just now. She told me that there will be a morning assembly every morning with all the staffs. The purpose is to boost up their confident and motivation before they start working. They play, sing and dance to become more "energetic". Their objective is "Play Hard, Work Hard".
Initially, I thought it is a roadshow promotion in shopping mall. Because according to the interviewer, "We are doing something like promoting a new event/product/movie to gain awareness from the public in hot spots. We are working in a team, 7-8 persons." The current project they are doing now is Spastic Children Association (SCA). She said that they are going to promote this SCA to public so that everyone will get to know more about this center and give a hand to the center.
Totally out of my expectation. We have 3 persons in 1 team. And, each of us needs to get donation from the public. Donation?! Yes, it is what you guys have in your mind right now. What we need to do is to ask for donation from table to table in a restaurant. This is exactly the situation which I frequently meet when I'm enjoying my meal or tea time with friends. DISLIKE! If I would like to make a donation, I will visit the center directly and donate. That's it!!! I was so helpless at that moment!!! No matter how, I need to continue also right? So, I just followed my trainer, from table to table, restaurant to restaurant, to and fro along the same area.
My trainer told the uncles aunties that we are actually "volunteers from SCA,.....bla bla bla" If I'm truly a volunteer for charity house, I shouldn't be rewarded any cents right? So embarrassed wey, doing so-called "charity work". Actually they do get commission if the donation for the day hits target. No wonder my trainer work so hard and keep telling me that we must faster than the other girl in my team. Tsk Tsk.
I was amazed by Hazey. She damn geng wey!!! She can converse well in many dialects/languages. Cantonese, Mandarin, Hokkien, Hakka, English, BM and........Tamil!!! She is definitely an outstanding salesperson.
Yes, I did learnt a lot from my trainer today......However this job is kinda .....err.....err....Conclusion.... I'm jobless again!!!.
Haizzzzz~~~

ReplyDeletegood luck in finding a new job, Angela? LOLx
ReplyDeleteSounds like a scam. It's always better to be jobless than to be exploited by irresponsible "employers".
